2004 ASA Masters Sheffield

Sixteen City of Cambridge swimmers took part in the ASA Masters Championships on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Ponds Forge Sheffield returning with a tally of eight medals.

Stars of the event were Emma Brown (24/29 age group) National Champ in 200M Fly swimming an impressive race, setting a 100 PB on the way to her win; she was also 2nd in another tough event the 400M IM.

Throughout the competition Chris Tidey (19/24) could do no wrong, comming 1st in 50M, 100M, 200M Breast and 100M IM as well as swimming PB's in all his races and setting GB records for the open Masters age group. Chris also beat Nick Gillingham in the 50 and the 100 breast in one of the most exciting and hard fought races of the event.

Andrea Violla (40/44) placed 3rd in the 100M Breast, Ed Anderson 2nd in the (24/29) 1500M Free and the (76 plus) Medley relay team was 2nd

Every swimmer execded their entry times and there were many PB's swum. Swimmers who took part were:
