Newmarket Masters Results

Newmarket held their first masters gala last Sunday and 10 swimmers from Cambridge competed. We had some great swims managing to win 21 Gold medals & 13 Silver medals in total, a fantastic achievement. Top swimmer was Hayley Davis picking up 5 Golds and a Silver from 6 swims, just missing Gold in the 200m FS by just 0.02s. Graeham Douglas picked up 3 Golds & 2 silvers from his 5 swims, with Liam Barnet taking 3 Golds in his swims. Elizabeth Perkins achieved 2 Golds and 3 Silvers from her 5 swims with Rob Semple taking a Gold and 3 Silvers. Andrea Viola took a clean sweep of 2 Golds in the Breaststoke events with Emma Walker getting 2 Golds & a silver from here three swims. James Rumblelow in a tough age group swam well to get a Gold and 2 Silvers with Pete Rank picking up 2 Golds & a Silver. Juliet Whitaker return to competitions after a 26 year layoff swam well and finished just outside the medals in her four events.

The next big event is the Long Course nationals at Swansea, 13-15th June. Entries close Midday 14th May.
