Solid Performances at Youth Regionals

4th/5th May 2013, Luton Fourteen of our Top and Senior squad swimmers from City of Cambridge Swimming qualified to compete at the ASA East Regional Youth Championships at the new Luton Inspire Village swimming pool.

Of the four girls, Samantha Auker recorded the best results with her backstroke swims, coming 5th in 200m and 6th in the 200m Finals.

For the boys, the standout performances came from Richard Jefferies, 2nd in the 100m Butterfly and Luke Westwood, 3rd in the 50m Breaststroke. Harry Robinson made the 15-16yrs final in 200m Freestyle despite only having turned 15 the week before the competition. He finished 6th. Liam Doonan also made it through to the finals of the 100m and 200m Butterfly.

The Mens 4x100m Freestyle team, Boris Ledovskih, Harry Robinson, Adam Tapley and Richard Jefferies also stormed through with a fantastic anchor leg from Richard to take 3rd behind Hatfield and Ipswich.

Liam Doonan: 50m, 100m and 200m Butterfly. Richard Jefferies: 100m Backstroke, 50m and 100m Butterfly. Boris Ledovskih: 50m, 100m and 200m Freestyle, 100m and 200m Backstroke and 200m Individual Medley. Daniel Mills: 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m Freestyle, 50m and 200m Backstroke, 100m and 200m Backstroke and 200m Individual Medley. Sebastian Pettican: 50m and 100m Freestyle, 50m and 100m Backstroke and 50m Butterfly. Dominic Pulford: 50m Backstroke. Harry Robinson: 50m, 100m and 200m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke. Adam Tapley: 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m Freestyle. Ashley Trent: 100m and 200m Breaststroke, 50m and 100m Butterfly and 200 Individual Medley. Luke Westwood: 50m and 100m Breaststroke.
