First Round Victory in M11 League

April 28th 2013. City of Cambridge Swimming Club made their first appearance in the M11 Swimming League at Braintree Swimming Club. As new members of the league, the club have to join in Division 2 but we immediately made our presence felt by winning our first meet confidently with a margin of 69 points.

The young team of 9-12 year old swimmers, won 21 of the 49 races, with 9 second place performances.

Assistant Coach John Sargent commented “Although the 11/u and 12/u swimmers provided 14 of the 21 wins in a very convincing manor, Oscar Mulligan was the highlight of the younger generation of Co Cambridge SC swimmers, with a win in the 9 years 25m Backstroke. Well done Oscar”.

For its debut, the club was given fantastic support from the parents who travelled to support the selected swimmers. The next round is on the 19th May 2013.

Final Points: Cambridge 324, Harlow 255, Erith 235, Cheshunt 209, Rochford 208, Southend on Sea 199, Enfield Swim Squad B 167, Dunmow Atlantis 144.
