East Midlands Arena League Final

19th December 2012

Dec 8th 2012, City of Cambridge went into the final of the East Midlands Arena League in fantastic form, having won both previous rounds. This was always going to be a very tight final with the top clubs in the league all coming up against each other for the first time this season. The team got off to a bright start and with a tremendous team spirit being shown by all swimmers on deck confidence within the team grew and we became clear of the third placed team, but just out of reach of first placed team. This was how it remained throughout the night. We are now through to the National B Final in Cardiff in April 2013.

James Freezer, Head Coach said “It is great for the club to reach a consecutive national B final. It is testament to the hard work of the swimmers that they have again achieved this and now they have the opportunity to go up against some of the best swimmers and clubs in the country”. “The job now is for the swimmers to increase their commitment and intensity of training and improve on last year’s national final result”.
